![]() ![]() ![]() If you are a new upcoming label then surely you must have done your groundwork and got plenty of artists on your books. If you haven't then you are a small, fry, here-today-gone-tomorrow, waste of time in my opinion.
1) Split publishing 50/50 - I guess this means publishing costs - how attractive (not) 2) Retention of copyright is hardly a big-time, ground-breaking deal now is it? 3) OK but it sounds like you are aiming for modern music - WTF didn't you mention that or are you one of these morons that believes anything written before yesterday is a waste of time? 4) Original vocal - would singing in esperanto work for you? 5) Exactly what stores do you have deals with? 6) "Sold" is not spelt "soled" 7) What about non-free downloads? I can't wait to sign up ![]() ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() Yeah this one stumped me too when I first saw it.
I'm not sure how a 50/50 split on publishing will work. I thought idea of signing was for the label to cover publishing costs. Unless he means Profit split? If so then that is probably about average. Not having a label email address is a NO go for me. At least try and look professional ![]() ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() I suppose the downside in telling them the faults with their "package" is that they'll learn from it and come back again in a few weeks with something that appeals more and possibly take some money from the unsuspecting.
