I have taken down all of my songs from sites, usually the sites I didn't want anything to do with any longer. Some bands that look as though they left, have still kept up a song or two - that is what I have done at a couple of sites that weren't worth my time but I still thought I may return back to them some day. I did that at SoundClick and SoundCloud.
Well, I just thought it would make the browse section worth browsing. As it is now, it gets really boring seeking out bands that have come and gone only to find a bunch of empty pages. I get what you are saying about not being a typical corporate site, but I have been trying that browse section for about 3 years now and it still annoys me. That's nice to allow someone some time to go through whatever they are going through, but instead of allowing one or two or ten of the lot the convenience to return years later, it sure would be nice to have pages with music and have those few people just start a new account if they get the urge to try music again.
Maybe it is just me. It's not like I'm going to quit if it doesn't get done. I just won't browse.
It reminds me of having basic cable T.V. I have so many channels listed, it looks like I'll never get any sleep, and then when I start going through all of the channels, there are whole sections that I don't even have access to. "OOH LOOK, 30 CHANNELS OF FOOTBALL, 30 CHANNELS OF BASEBALL, 150 PAY PER VIEW CHANNELS, 100 HIGH DEFINITION CHANNELS, 30 PORN CHANNELS!" Then as you click on each one, "FOR ORDER INFORMATION, CALL YOUR CABLE COMPANY." After a while I realized that I only need to stay in the double digits because I don't have HD and I didn't pay for the other 1100 channels. LMAO!!!!
