Default A review for "Whiskey Burn"

Whiskey Burn....A review.
First off, I love the concept and the lyric of this song. Who hasn't been hung over after a good night of drinking?
As for the recording itself. Just a couple thoughts.
I have to say I really hate the guitar distortion you used. I thought just a bit thin and a little too much overdrive. The song lacked a strong botttom end. I would try remixing it and make the bass a bit more prominent. Also a little less reverb on your vocal. It's too far back in the mix.
I hope this helps.....I did like the song

Thanks Dave.

I agree on all aspects. Haven't had any success mic'ng my amp, so that's straight in the mixer for the guitar. We are actually re-recording the vocal track tonight hopefully, with my wife doing the main vocal.

It does need some tweaking.

Getting ready to post a new song, totally different style.

Thanks again!

Yea,
One of the hardest things for me is getting a good guitar distortion when I'm plugged straight into my cpu
