Fuel savings in B.S.

We are encouraged to switch off our tv's at the socket so that we are not wasting small amounts of electricity costing us a few pennies a month. We are told to remove our phone chargers from the socket (or switch off) for the same reason.

Where do these small amounts of "so-called" wasted energy go..... they end up heating the air around them and helping our central heating cope with with warming our houses.

So is it such a big deal leaving the TV on and lights on during the winter months - the energy doesn't go into a black hole never to be seen it again - it warms the houses/buildings we live.

During the warmer summer months then there is a reason to "switch-off" unless ya live in Iceland (there's a freaking clue in the name) or the arctic circle or Siberia. But not winter (Africa excluded!!)

Our friendly electricity suppliers are encouraging us to cut-down (and then they raise their prices) BUT we don't overly complain because our bills remain about the same BUT they've made a killing supplying us less electricity. And they, in turn, don't have to burn as much coal to supply this fallen demand. It's all a con I tells ya.

I suppose I ought to stick to writing music. What's that I hear.... "no" did someone say lol

Andy

Canīt blame ya for having a moan especially as you are in for another 10% hike in price for electricity. Thatīs the whole reason for making you cut down on electricity so that you donīt notice the increase... They probably say the same here but no comprende.

You think youīve got problems! Until last week the electricity company in Spain just turn the power off when they need to do some work. Usually when we are recording and havenīt saved enough times.. On Sundays some twat seems to make a switch over by turning one off before turning the other on. Or thats what it seems like. Just off for a second but enough to create havoc in our house..

For the first time in 8 years we had a written notification to say that the power would be off last week on Tuesday from 8am until 12 noon. Everything prepared with camping stove out to make hot drinks and nothing happened by 9.30 so we went out and left the music alone. When we came back we had another note to say they hadnīt done the work and would be doing it on Thursday. They did the work, whatever it was, while it was chucking it down with rain - and we thought - SERVES EM RIGHT! Had the price increases too....

You get using that electricity dude and power up a song or two for us...
