I am a CHEAT (apparently)

I have noticed that the vote tally for the Alive track "letting go" has decreased by 5 or so votes - suggesting i have been cheating. Have sent Darth a PM about looking into this - it means (unless there has been a mistake) that there must be a user with 5 different accounts using the same computer to vote for me. I think this is impossible but will wait for Darths response with baited breath. For now i guess i must live with the notion that i have been branded a cheat.

I don't think it makes "you" a cheat dude... Maybe it's a combination of multi account users voting your track with different accounts.

I've witnessed artists leave comments with 3 accounts on one track.

I've even done this before... I've left comments on a track... it's been edited I've returned and left more comments but due to only one vote per account ...I've used one of my other accounts to leave another rate.

You also take part in quite a few collabs... So maybe one of these artists maybe even a few have voted for your track with their accounts.

I think, well I know, Admin are making it harder for same IP votes... Personally it's a good thing...but I also feel common sense needs to come in to play and for this the Admin need to be aware of who owns these accounts.

Got a reply from Darth and the matter is cleared up - it looks like i got votes from users who have more than 1 account - so in the spirit of fairness admin have done the right thing. Cheers

And in the spirit of fairness maybe they shall be named?

Until recently the message was that double voters had their accounts deleted. Just saying what the "official" threat was

This isn't something I like to see...public slating is not fun to read.

If I have 2 accounts and I want to vote the same artist x2 that is my choice.

However it is wrong if your using your accounts to vote your own track.

yeah -i suppose admin have to draw a line somewhere - i have never voted for myself (ie my James Bell account voting for Alive and vice versa - that wouldnt be right). I have never denied that i have some friends who have listener accounts and who vote on a regular basis - the trouble (for me)seems to stem from there . I'm going to discourage these "listener" votes from now on. The votes/chart system isnt worth the hassle.

I think one vote for one person is quite sufficient....anyone could make more than one account and vote their friends to top of charts...sometimes it only takes a few votes to do that. I don't think w should name or shame but i think it is right that votes are discounted when they are from the same person with different IDs.

I also think that it's a bit melodramatic to say you've been branded a cheat unless someone actually said so.
