Escape To The Moon (The Electro Club Mix) R.C.Y (Formally H2O)

So from H2O to RCY.. why the change.. well I felt it was time for a change, not just in the name, but the production to.. so Here it is - 3 Months in the making, the biggest track I have ever attempted. Escape To The Moon (The Electro Club Mix). I have been a way for a bit so I apologise for not catching up your tracks, I find myself often saying that on here lately, but the truth is my career has taken off in other directions. However, my spare time has been spent learning, listening and attempting to produce a dance tune that is current and a step up from past tracks. So as always please leave me your feedback and be open and honest, its the only way to improve! At any volume this is big. I can't agree with Ricky's assessment as I'm enjoying this not way loud as I don't really like loud volumes but i believe if a mix sounds good at low volume it's a sure thing most times it will sound good at higher db's. I'm very sensitive to cover compression and limiting. I can here the pump of the compressor on that big a s s bass but it is pumping in all the right ways. I know Ricky knows his stuff so he's hearing this from a different perspective and I respect that a great deal but I love this!

Oh forgot to mention thanks LODATO.. nice to get some positive with the constructive and I do feel that Ricky is the Simon Cowell of Electronic Music!!! He does know his stuff so I accept it.. :-)...

Cheers guys.. the master mix is my downfall I think... I need a professional to do that for me lol.. I work from a Laptop and headphones.. compression is used and it may well be overcooked.. problem is I can never hear it lol.. love the constructive though.. helps me to focus.. I WILL GET THIS MIX RIGHT lol :-).

Invest in some decent monitors.
Headphones have their uses,obviously...but you need more truthful audio feedback as you get nearer to the final mix...in my opinion anyways

You can master this yourself. My suggestion is to experiment with what a compressor does by deliberately abusing it then backing off on the ratio and attack till you can hear what they are doing. Compression is really by ear and you need to know what you're listening to. Rely on your own abilities and learn what the tools you're using do. Just a couple of days just listening to what happens when you radically ride the compressor. That will teach you mountains of info.

Cheers LODATO for that.. much appreciated.. I suppose my problem is I have done this for hours.. i have adjusted so much on that this track for hours on end.. i think to be honest I have a laptop and some decent headphones.. but that will only take the mix so far.. I aspire to greater things but if I want a true mix I need monitors and better set up.. i MAC is already on the list.. lol.. What I wanted from this mix was a current tune. no 90's influence and a much better punch to the tune. Love the feedback if you guys didn't care you wouldn't bother replying.. and you have done. Ricky has even sent an email offering advice.. that's what makes this community the best on the web!!

the re-invention of oneself..cool Chris...liked the new icon on your page...ignition...finding some new strides in here...yeah, Ricky is the maestro of EDM here...nice to have expertise to help others...this is a great start to the re-imagined H2O..(what is RCY?)...to compress..and to what extent...on what...how..all tech questions we ask and glad you are exploring those too..Rich is a fountain of knowledge too..good to tap that well...yup..community..enjoyed this Chris...still doing vid's with these new ones ?
