Which drum software is best?
Erik Jurado Erik Jurado is offline 25-07-2012, 08:34 AM

Which is easiest and which is cheapest? I have no idea if I should go this way rather than banging my own beats to the cheap sound that my digital drum set makes. I have a Mac, so I'm sure that means 75% of the programs have been eliminated. Any help, advice or experience would be awesome.

Thanks!

Erik

Don't know what D.A.W you are using but I use Native instruments battery 3 with an electric drum kit via midi....So you can have best of both worlds...Just need to work out what software you're using and if you have midi to midi on your electric drums and to an input on your PC/Mac

Try the demo see if you like before you buy

EZDrummer's pretty damn good (Toontrack) and works with Garageband (I know, I've done it).

I've upgraded to Superior Drummer now but it's taking some getting used to.

Default Yeah, I wanted to try EZ Drummer

I don't know if this is the direction I want to go. I looked for an evaluation download of EZ Drummer, but couldn't find anything. I want to try it to see if it would work before I pay money that I don't have for something I won't use. If you know any evaluation info for EZ Drummer, I will definitely check it out.
