Old Skool Samples? Where to find?

Cheers darling Gav. I keep forgetting to ask this, and my friend wants them....

Anyone have any idea where to get all the old school samples from? You know what I mean? All the old jungle/happy hardcore type samples....like from the"feel the bass in your face" era. All the same music samples were used constantly to create different tunes. She's looking for those - the samples. That early prodigy kind of noise, that mad squelchy high grating mad sound, arghh its hard to describe, all those sounds they used. Plus then you have all the piano riffs used constantly....I guess you either get me or you don't. LOL.

Is the Prodigy noise not just a distorted 303 sound? Possibly a DX7? As for the old-school samples I can put on a faux-Jamaican accent and give it some "Ah told you dis is de new sound" and suchlike....[img]smileys/smiley36.gif[/img]

I have an old akai cd with loads and loads of vocal snippets and really old skool samples if you have a sampler that can import akai format (for example, exs 24, kontakt, halion samplers google importing akai samples into your chosen software sampler) It's a really old cd and I have never used it at all as every time I load it I just spend four hours listening to the samples and getting nothing done. The cd name is zero g man machine and is a multipurpose sample cd featuring all that you need if you're in ole school type of music... Beats and Grooves, Synth Bass, Fx, Voice Licks, synths, pads, brass, percussions and drums hits, i'd be happy to post it if you want it

You know- I bet that would work! You should also add some Mongo samples for great oldskool creation! I'm really not a huge fan of most old skool! Actually that is crap....I am just not a fan of nuskool/oldskool - kids thinking they are living oldskool for the first time! But the happy hardcore/old skool thing is everywhere at the mo - and she deferred from the darkside of dnb to the happy crappy old skool/nu skool ! No one can save her now!
