I'm lost for words.

My condolences to her family and friends, I know she had many here. Seemed like a really nice lady, I remember swapping a few notes with her five or six years ago and then she moved on. Did she become a nun? As I recall her fb posts all referred to some evangelical catholic thing she had going, and then they stopped altogether three or four years ago.

I am so very sorry...she was a lovely lady. I know you were good friends with her Ricky...but at least her wonderful voice is recorded for posterity in your songs together.

I am completly floored by this, Its a time when you are supposed to come up with something profound, deep and meaning full, But all I cant, all I can think is that I fell in love with Mel the first time I heard her, and then became friends the more we talked.....she had that effect of people. I never had the pleasure of getting to know her, but Ricky has pointed me to a few of the collaborations he had done with her...a ton of talent.

Again, we've lost one of our patriots.

Hard to hear this sad news. Melinda was a huge, skilled talent. I remember how she emerged here, it was with a very skillful piano piece.

Her personality glowed, this place will never be quite as bright as it was with Mel gone.

Her ability to rif in a fusion style was unparalleled here.

I'll be having a Brand X marathon in Mel's honour... starting now.
