Time for a new comp

Anybody any suggestions for a new comp to run through Feb?

An intro competition - a standard piece of music is foisted onto everyone and an intro has to be mixed-in.... max length of time for intro (say) 30 seconds

But what would the standard piece of music be? If only the intro is relevant you'd only need the first half or quarter of the song (if even that) I guess?

Interesting idea. Who would provide this piece of music, and what genre/theme? We've already done Hallowe'en and Christmas... say this new comp was a ballad/love song and the comp closed on February 14th... would that be just too cheesy?

What about a dance track that naturally starts with vocal/hook and on the face of it does not need an intro. Adding an intro might make it better or it might make it worse depending on how good you are.

The trick would be to create an intro that gives the original dance track a launch pad.

KtA's Dance track "It's A Dream" starts with a vocal hook. Bloody good song too, if not very Armageddonny...

Amadeus probly has some ideas for a comp, an intro comp sounds like it might be super hard to judge, an intro's so simple and there's alot of good/signed producers both on/off the site, something as simple as intro production might make hell for the judges lol.

How about a Soundtrack competition - all we need to do is source some video - and then the comp would be to write music over it - ??????????????
