As I have stated previously, I am not knowledgable in this style. That being said, I'm starting to understand the differences in the listed styles. I thoroughly enjoy listening to a still unfamiliar medium, and having a chance to review the style. I was blown away by another song of Slippy-T's, Blast, which was an adrenaline uptake. This one had a completely different, and equally enjoyable feel to it. Many different tones seem to exist within this song. The intro, the first minute, had a momentum gaining sense about it. Like when you first push a boulder over the cliff, knowing soon it will tumble full speed, crashing through everything in its path. Right before it kicks in, an airy whistle sound, almost whimsickle, breaks the musical assault anticipated.

For the following minute or so, the sub attacks you. Backed by a distorted keyboard sound, and what seems to be, from a Texas perspective, reverb laden 'space crickets'. A very cool sound indeed. The distorted keyboard march is halted with a light, clean keyboard interlude, but, only a brief one. A moment follows, as though one is catching their breath. After, a pop/dance keyboard line leads you back to the march. The march being much shorter in distance this time. What follows next, is a quick ending to the drum line. Distorted sounds clashing with each other, as though two opposing armies finally coming to a head. A momentary drum/keyboard rhythm fills in after the war of distortion. Once again the drums drop. Less complicated, calculated sounds fill the speakers. Perhaps tallying the losses, or ensuring the safety of the remaining forces. The march is on immediately after the brief reprieve. There is a closure to the remaining 1 1/2 minutes of the song. The same driving distorted keyboard and drums, with a nice mix of other sounds. A haunting ,almost vocal, upper range sounds appear towards the end of the song. An unknown language of the Gods, in discussion. Either approving, or disapproving, of the nights events. With nice snare rolls emphasizing the march homeward, or towards the next battle.

The differing songs within a song, make 'Relentless' come alive for me. The production quality of this one, and so many of similiar styles within mp3unsigned.com, keeps me amazed. The ability to stack so many different sounds into a piece is quite artistic. An ability to create a visual for the listener is a gift of the musically inclined, and to be cherished. I hope this review is accepted from an outsider of the genre. I sincerely appreciate the opportunity of review. Great work Slippy-T.
