Why doesn't scotch tape taste better? 

Isn't the word 'scotch' usually attached to something pleasant? ie 'butter' or 'Glenn Fiddich'?

And how is it that a piece of scotch tape will viciously rip apart your lower lip (if you are foolish enough to give it a chance), and yet it will not, no matter what, stick two pieces of Christmas wrap together! ? !

My wife came home with something very special from Sellotape just before Xmas - pre cut sellotape strips! just pull and stick from a little plastic dispenser. My God whatever next?
