VDT
There is not much to say about VDT, so we won't. VDT has been a pet project since 2000 and hopefully it will remain as such for the forseeable future.
Everything worth releasing under the VDT name will always be available on the VDT Website. Some of it will also be available on Myspace.
The following is a snippet from the website:
"VDT has been focused on electronic music from the getgo. Synthesizers make up the bulk of the sound, but are often backed and completed by acoustic instruments. Current tracks feature acoustic guitar, taishogoto and numerous forms of percussion.
Technically, VDT was born as a pet project around 2000. More importantly, the history of VDT is about who and what has influenced the music. Most importantly, we must mention Sebastian Utbult and his early work in Gothenburg Gehenna. He is personally responsible for every sound created here that sounds broken or grungy. Not by involvement, but by inspiration. Secondly, we'd like to mention Pelle "volley" Claesson, who has time and time again proven that clean and dirty mix very well. Anything here that was made with a computer, would not have been made if it were not a product of his teachings. Last but not least, Neil "Celsius" Gaeggeler has always been a source of inspiration and knowledge, be it in how a kick drum should really sound (BZM) or how to pronounce "bass" vs "base".
As VDT will be releasing a new demo within the next couple of weeks, the website has been completely redone. When the demo is released it will be fully available in electronic form on the website.
I've had the pleasure of occasionally have VDT throw me a rough draft or a sample from one his works in progress, and while they've always been good, Cold and useless is absolutely his best track to date. Why?
