Some of the reviews Ive gotten from other music sites to sum up what you are listening to.
1-"Utopia" WOW!! Hypnotic right out the gate... loved the western meditative indian drive behind this track... reminds me of "Enigma" who are the forerunners of the trippy sound scape mood swing electronic music!! excellent use of live instrumentation!!! production on this track is MASSIVE and of utmost professionalism!! Couldn't ask for a better arrangement... perfectly placed breakdowns and bridges keeps the listener engaged with no room for boredom!! WOW!! I cant get over the degree of professionalism in both the live instrumentation and the GIGANTIC production.. so many different sounds were used in this masterpiece!!! this could be one of the most impressive tracks I have ever had the privilege or reviewing!!! AWESOME JOB GUYS!!! I LOVED THIS TRACK AND WOULD LOVE TO SEE THIS PERFORMED LIVE!!! I GAVE YOU TOP HONORS!!
Yet another review:
2-Ethnic Electro Funk? You've ventured into a very cool genre, that I can't say that I've heard done too often. So, immediate kudos for bringing something new (to me at least) to the table. Introduction is pretty cool, but maybe a tad long. If might be cool if you surprised the listener and brought that awesome beat at 1:00 in at :36 instead. The gated synth at 1:20 is awesome. It sounds like a more "funky" version of the melody in the background as soon as the beat comes in at 1:00. It really works because it's setting up the vibe for the rest of the track. I felt the section from 1:39 - 1:58 is a little odd. It comes in very sudden, and sounds so distant from what you're doing with the rest of the song. If you wanted to make that work, I would make a more distinct build to it, instead of a simple reversed cymbal sweep. As you have it now, it sounds too different from the rest of the track. What you could do here, is maybe keep the sweep, but instead of going into what you have now at 1:39, you could drop off into something similar to what you have as your introduction for a little bit then build into the funk section. This way the listener can sort of hear that some change is coming, and won't be put off by how sudden and different that section sounds. Another option might be to keep the sweep, but then follow that with silence for 5 seconds or so, then just crash into that section. That would make the section more dramatic when it comes in, and it might be more fluid, rather than sweeping into the section. 1:59 is fantastic though. And it feels more like it's part of the same song. You've brought atomspherics from previous sections of the song and added in a more fun, funk vibe. It works, and it sounds great. It sounds like you've introduce some sort of saxophone sample at 2:20. Very cool again, because it still sounds very similar the that background melody you played at 1:00. It's really admirable how you've found samples that all feel related. I wouldn't mind hearing the sax again though, I think you only play the sax section once. Sounds like you introduce a scratch solo at 4:16. You've crammed a lot of really nice things into this one track. Everything works together really well. I did feel the ending was weak though. It felt very sudden, and I was disappointed you didn't sweep into something similar to your introduction. I think if you had, it would have wrapped the song up better. It feels like you just wanted to end the song, so you did. I would like to hear a more thought-out ending. Overall, this is a very strong tune. My review probably doesn't sound like I think so, but you've achieved a very interesting sound here. The ethnic vibes remain throughout the entire song, and the song is SO funky. Big props on the bassline, so funky it hurts. Everything truly is top notch, I just thought I would name a few suggestions that may (or not) make the track a bit smoother transitionally.
