I need to purchase a new mic, because, well, mine sux, as many of you probably no! So, does anyone know a decent recording mic for vocals, that isn't too expensive? Cheers. |

get your self a sure mic if your using a pa. head. If your using a comp. you can go to radio shack and get a standing mic. What she said about feedback using a tight ,sock etc. it does work.

AKG C 1000 is a good all round work horse. I use it for everything in the studio, and it ain't that expensive. If its for live performance SM 58

You can use any microphone, but importantly it needs either Phantom power or a pre-amp
Ive heard on budget too this isnt too bad a microphone
But if you keep on the track of industry reccomendations you'll be fine
For headphones (which you may have been considering) i would reccomend some Beyerdynamic DT150's
There's a thread currently located in music help i think
