FLIGHT OF THE PHOENIX (rough mix)
Oh how annoying! Just makes you want to give up. Appreciated anyhow :)
I was writing my comments at great length when FF crashed. Short version - impressive.
That's a good way to start the track off, the introduction is very good with those gentle guitars, I'm glad you decided to bring them back again later a couple of times. Structurally this works very well with the builds and breaks. Good melodies all the way through, I enjoyed this a lot
Comments and advice ppreciated Kallen! I'll be sure to check out your music. Pete
Im saying its a monster of a cool tune...and my bass is just dirty anyway...waffle-waffle :-D
Guitars are mint! Yeah bass could be a touch more powerful...but in the context of the whole tune its just ticketty-boo I thought...and I know about bass, believe me. I never use FX on bass...flat is fine :-) k
Thanks for the comments! I'm not really sure what do do with bass guitars, it's just been recorded direct into the mixer, with a little reverb added later. Appreciative of both positive reviews!
Great song played very well, but if I can say bass a bit flat. This song is like Mike Oldfield writing for iron maiden, loved it.
Loving this - especially the acoustic guitar parts - sounds like the guitars are talking to each other - rated A:)
Many thanks DSS - I'll be sure to visit your page (probs later this evening) - Pete
Massive amount of work and musicianship gone into this. Wasn´t expecting the light acoustic sounding parts in a metal track but it´s great. Drums and percs not coming through at the moment as they should but you knew that anyway. How frustrating not to be able to get to any of it for the final mix. If it sounds this good now, it will be epic when you´ve finished... Bravo L&B;
Thanks for your comments Terry, appreciated. I'll be sure to check out your tunes!
Got a very tight sound to your mix...epic length..suitable for a soundtrack of sorts? enjoyed the acoustic sound in the midst of the metal...the movement between the two styles/sounds...again, I liked the mix...very well done to my ears, a very detailed and finely nuanced eq on the parts sets everything right in a tight space that makes each part discernibly present...working together, not competing for sonic space. Tough to do that, but you did! Needless t o say the guitar lines were superb! Welcome to mp3u! Hope you get out on the site and visit others, leave comments and thumbs-ups and enjoy other music/musicians here. DreamSphere is a studio only instrumental Metal band consisting of two members. The music is designed to be generally accessible, without compromising the energy and aggression of Heavy Metal music in general. Guitars and bass are recorded directly onto a Zoom digital recording studio, which features built in guitar effects and synthesized drum kits.
