Hey Veetacore, loving this track! Great energy and beat. Really nice vocal and tight instrumentation. DSS said it "Pro finish". Really cool. Big Thumbs to you guys!
Very nice track. Does have a bit of an 80's sound to me (hope that does'nt offend you) 43 downloads with 2 votes and 3 comments, 2 of which were made by the same people? What in the world is going on here? You have a very polished sound and the track is very well written, but who in the hell is downloading your music? Hmmmm Good Job on this.

VEETACORE may be a new band to add to the ever growing list, but this 3 piece from the South are worth paying some attention to. Entering their 3rd year in existence, 2012 is when they’ll become a household name. It’s easy to put Veetacore in a box along with Paramore owing to their female vocalist, punky riffs and full on rock energy - however, the bands sound takes influences from a wide range of artists from Biffy Clyro & Foo Fighters to Rise Against & AFI.
A little more than 18 months after the release of the group’s debut, The Monopoly//EP – a free download (2,300 downloaded, Sept 10 – Jan 12) which has received critical acclaim and media exposure all over the UK – Bournemouth’s VEETACORE return with ‘THE SETTLING’, their second EP.
Although the band own a commercial recording studio in their home town, they chose to record in the same location as before. “Deciding to record at the Old Chapel [Nutbourne, West Sussex] again was simple, a chance to escape our day to day life and focus on the job in hand”. The band brought back long term friend David Evans as producer, “Stepping into the studio for this 2nd EP was like we’d never left. Sometimes change is nice, but on this occasion having Dave back on board in the same studio was the right option for us.” guitarist Tom Clay comments. “We’re absolutely thrilled with the music we’ve recorded, it took us a while to find our feet as a band but now we’ve found focus, and these new songs are an expression of where we are going, rather than where we’ve been.” says Becky Rewse, the band’s frontwoman.
Both in terms of musical finesse and lyrical flair, The Settling is a stellar stride forward for Veetacore. The words that can be seen shining back from songs such as Clarus – the verse to which warns “I’m sick of saying sorry/tired of staying strong”. Or in 14 & 3/8 where Becky sings from the heart about the excitement and rush of a new relationship “I have seen the way you look at me but I don’t mind/cos I think I understand the way you feel, I feel it too”.
Touring throughout the year, the band will be putting in more blood sweat and tears than ever before to get this record heard. With friends and fans in mainland Europe, don’t be surprised to see a few overseas dates on the gig listings too.
