Steve Wilson In the fall of 1997 the music fans of Denton, Texas felt the wind change direction. As Steve Wilson took the stage at Ricks Place, the murmur of chatter inside that Denton landmark was lively. As he stood under the very spotlight where only days before a country artist named Pat Green squinted out toward the crowd, he strummed a melody, closed his eyes, and strongly began to sing the first few notes of a song that would soon gain the attention of a whole new generation of music fans. One minute into "16 Days" and he owned them. In a city that had seen it's share of musical-wealth, Steve carved out a place among such up-and-coming bands as Flickerstick, the Toadies, the Nixons and Baboon. But Denton couldn't keep this singer/songwriter a secret for long and the shows spread into the Dallas-area music venues. After that, the wind just kept blowing in every direction. In the last 3 years Steve's fanbase has spread from the Dallas-area, to Austin, all the way to the UK and Asia. His music has been compared to artists such as Creed, Edwin McCain, and Matchbox Twenty. With a potent voice, and an incredibly commanding presence, his songs combine heartfelt lyrics with rhythmic guitar riffs. He tells the story of life in a way that you know it's personal. You not only hear but feel the lyrics. If you find yourself standing in front of a stage where Steve Wilson is standing, his eyes closed and guitar in hand, get comfortable...You're not going anywhere for a while. His first two-song demo "16 Days" sold out in only 3 months as well as his live CD "Intakes and Outtakes from the S....y Joint" which is presently being remanufactured. In 2002, http://www.stevewilsononline.com was launched and has already received thousands of visitors. In 2004, Steve gained the attention of several independent record labels resulting in offers for distribution, manufacturing and promotion of his previously recorded music. He is presently working on a 10-song full-length CD project.

In 2002, Steve and the members of 47 SECTION entertained troops from Louisiana all the way to the Indian Ocean. For more info on 47 SECTION, click here.
