The Manhattan-based five-piece exceeds its numbers with a mature layering of driving rhythms, crunching guitars, and focused vocal melodies. Honoring and resisting comparisons to both The Mars Volta and Death Cab for Cutie, On My Signal delivers no-gimmicks, dynamic rock. Formed in the summer of 2003, On My Signal earns attention playing with power and patience. With creativity that stems from the input of all five members and lyrics that range from passionate to biting, On My Signal never relies on production or fashion trends to win its audience. On My Signal has drawn sizable crowds as a headliner and has been invited to support some of the genre’s best bands, including Straylight Run, Gatsby’s American Dream, As Tall As Lions, Spitalfield, The Reunion Show, Endicott, and Slow Coming Day. In the summer of 2004, On My Signal independently released its debut EP, Exit Parameters, featuring the single ‘Surface Tension.’ Recorded at the Hit Factory in Manhattan, the new songs showcase the band’s impressive range, both sonically and stylistically.
