Christmas Story-Eve of 2003 (Classical)

My Christmas Contest entry. Based on a true story; http://www.in-my-heart.com/tribute.html (if your interested). About my Grandparents death last Christmas Eve. Short review: The song beings as my grandparents were on their way to spend Christmas with my uncle and were hit by a drunk driver. Grandpa died instantly, Grandma was revived by a witness and was in a coma. Lots of confusion and distortion in the beginning of the song. Grandma was on a respirator at the hospital until the plug was pulled. Over the weekend we had time to adjust a bit to the shock and gather our emotions. They had a nice funeral (you'll hear the bells). After that we had to sadly get on with our lives and celebrate Christmas with our young children, which was happy. The end of the song has a bit of 'holding back', but willingness to move on, as we did into the new year.

Wendi Nelson As an accomplished pianist, I use a 'portable' grand' keyboard and a computer to create music that can be suitable for video games or films/ movies. Piano is predominant in most all of my songs, and instruments like the cello, violin, harp, and other orchestral sounds are commonly used. Each song that I create has portrayed part of the 'learning' curve' that I have been climbing. And I am enjoying it every bit of the way.
