Beginning his affair with music at 6 years old and hailing from the snow-capped mountains of Colorado, Jason McGinnis has been through an amazingly wide range of musical experiences spanning from choirs as a young boy to drumming for the United States Army on a four year tour. Over the course of his life Jason has continued to revel in his passion for music by refining and mastering his skills as a vocalist, drummer, guitar slinger, and pianist. Now out of the military, he hopes to further his career as a singer/songwriter. Strongly influenced by the songwriting of Jeff Buckley, Dave Matthews, and Jon Mayer and sampling from an array of diverse musical styles Jason aims to create a sound that is unique, eclectic, and timeless. His songs are heartfelt stories of survival and battles with self that are both poetic and real. Utilizing the wide depth and range of his soulful voice Jason has set out to create a type of music that is exciting and moving to every ear while expressing lyrics that are poignant to every heart, a sound that each person can relate to.
