The name came from a jazz trio I performed with. Today it's a quartet with piano.vibes, string bass and drums. We no longer do live performances.

I've been in the music game for decades, played with countless bands on the road, some good, some mediocre, written hundreds of jazz tunes and am still writing and creating jazz. Nothing has made gold, although in my style of jazz now a days, very few ever do as it's not like the pop thing. I'm a lot older and wiser now and I no longer play on the road and don't want to. It can be a hard life.

Not too long ago, some of my old band members wanted to get together and do a reunion tour. We were on the road for about 2 weeks and just decided to go home. It wasn't that we didn't enjoy playing, it was more of a business thing. When your expenses end up being more than your income, it becomes un-affordable. Yes, there is the fun factor of playing on the road but we are no longer kids that can afford to p*ss away hard earned money just because it's fun being on the road. There has to be a time when we musicians can make some money at it instead of just giving it away at our own expense. It becomes too expensive and after a while you have nothing to show for it. Let's face it, freebies and or cheap gigs just don't pay the bills!

Music is still in my blood, so from time to time I will either get together with some musician friends and do some recording with them at the studio or at home. Like many artists on this site looking to be discovered, I for one am not. My music is on this site is for you to enjoy. Take them for what they are, good or bad, never the less they are my children and I have created them from love-the love for music!

As of June 27,2007, Jazz Enigma released it's debut album called "A Slight of Hand". It is a mix of jazz and blues with piano, string bass, drums and vibes. It is available for preview at our web site.

Comments always welcome!
