Note To Self
Whilst never slotting comfortably into the ‘pretty-boy’ indie category, Surface have notched up some impressive support slots in their time, such as PJ Harvey, Echo and The Bunnymen, Turin Brakes, Lowgold and Haven. The melodic, guitar-based pop they trade in, combines lyrical intelligence with a layered, powerful musical backdrop, that never fails to intrigue or inspire.
