The Duelling Winos (as most of you know) started out as two...well, Winos who became overwhelmingly engrossed by a tin of Chicken Soup one dull afternoon and decided to write an Ode to the creamy nectar!

From there, the Winos conveyed their philosophies (which were somehow construed as humorous:)) using various other inspirations, such as dodgy rubber-loving MPs, perverted office bosses, French transexuals and some gal in a Glasgow pub with the sweet voice of Chris Rea among other things.

The chaps spent some time building up a repertoire of songs using various styles and methods to put out their important (and often hidden) messages (play Dear Deidre backwards for example and learn how to make thee most spiffing cup of tea!) to the good people of mp3unsigned.

These days, there are now four chaps and The Winos continue to spread the word on the live scene as well as online.  Be sure to watch this space for upcoming gigs...no need to bring a bottle - the lads will almost always play in pubs!

Here's a selection of comments on the lads from other mp3unsigned artists.

"You guys are a refreshing breath of comedic air - I love it. A good simple, melodic ditty that I think I'm going to be whistling for a long time to come"   -  ConKuss

"omg I fell off me chair, spit my coffee all over the keyboard and laughed til me drawers fell down....funniest thing I've heard for a long time"  - dawnsinclair

"you guys must be sick, cos the song is so infectious!"  - Raggy

"havn't heard anything like it on mp3u yet. love it!"  - rhyshanan

"you guys would be awesome at any festival and would have your audience in stitches with stuff like this" - Tartan Rascals.

"No doubt Wino's , you are going to hell. You are the most twisted and warped artists on this site lol. Great humour and actualy a good tune"  - ditheramb

"Excellent track, not bad for 2 ....ed up chaps! Love the one eyed barmaid!"  - Matt Richarson

"beatles vs. monty python vs. erm...a lot of alcohol"  - Tom Joas

Ye guys are brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" -  the Shed
