Jai Wil is taking the world by storm! Hailing from the South side of Chicago, this crooner is becoming the new R&B; unsigned hype! Jai Wil (Jason D. Wilburn) started at the age of 6, singing at his mother's parties and get-togethers just for fun and entertainment, but then at the age of 13, he knew then that it was his destiny. Growing up on the south side of Chicago, Jai was exposed to many different experiences that would have made his childhood seem like a road downhill, but he used his negative surroundings as a motivational tool.
“I learned at an early age what I wanted out of life, and I knew that music was going to be the key to my success. It was destined.” Entering High school, he then began to study with many vocal coaches and music professionals.
He then began to perform in many talent contests and showcases in his school as well as around the Midwest, placing 1st in many of the contests that he entered. In 1999, he landed his first major gig, singing background for Sean “P Diddy” Combs for his “Puff Daddy and the Family” tour. He had his first dose of stardom, surrounded with Bad Boy star acts like Lil' Kim, Carl Thomas, Mase, and also P Diddy, himself, leading the way. Jai is now working on his own project, which most of his songs are written about love, relationships, and his own personal experiences. “I'm using my music as therapy for myself as well as others who can relate with what I'm singing about.
I love my life and all that I've learned from it, so now I can share it with others”, he says. With his production from out of D.C., Jai Wil now has the ammo needed to take the R&B; stage by storm....
