Halfcut will play in the Scottish semi-finals of the UK Emergenza battle of the bands competition at Vertigo, Strathclyde Union, Glasgow on Saturday, April 23. They will be competing with seven other bands for a place in the Scottish final at Glasgow's Carling Academy - the city's second biggest music venue. Support on the night would be much appreciated.
The intro was powerful with the synth and keyboard sounds and then the vocals came in and seemed a bit low in the mix for me? the overall sound was very good and the drum and bass section were tight and kept it up all the way though the track , making it very punchy in some way. I also liked the guitar sound which was deep and effective in giving an agressive edge to the song, the lead break
What do we have here? This is pretty much right up my street. Some very good influences im hearing bands like kazabian, Charlatans, James Taylor. Even a touch of Mr Zappa. Love the ice cream van sounding synth that’s my fav part. Some really cool guitar work and some amazing synth work. Other than the recording quality, and the mix im loving this track. It has a real cool vibe to it. I bet you guy
