UNDER THE LAMPOST

Sitting by the lampost - I´m really quite a tart
Rendevous with Tom – but wait ´til after dark
Providing that my owner doesn´t try to keep me in
In case we wake the neighbourhood – romancing with a din
I think they´re kind of jealous - ´cos I get more than them
I´m a way of contraception – and I´m not too fond of men
So I leave a flea or two behind - while napping through the day
Then instead of making love - he can scratch his nuts away

Waiting for Tommy – I´m waiting for Tom to come by -y -y

Monday through to Friday with the one o´clock chime
I´m waiting in the park to see what tasty food is mine
The ladies from the offices have quite a varied lunch
Sausage rolls to takeaways and crispy treats to munch
I´m really kinda skinny so I never have to beg
The most I do is gently rub my fur against a leg
But I have to leave a little room for tea or she will phone
The vets again - thermometer – I´d rather stay at home!

I´ve got an older sister but she´s not at all like me
She´s quite a couch potato with a brain just like a pea
Eats my share of food as if tomorrow was today
I have my doubts about her – and think she may be gay

Under the lampost – he´s here now -so I´ll say bye bye
