I Love your words Ray! So very true and they hit hard man! I can reflect and feel them all man!! An act of love my man!!! Your lyrics, rhymes vocals are perfecto man!! Great songwriting and superb production!! I Love it!! Baz
Lovely song, nice intro and great vocals with thoughtful lyrics.
A wonderful arrangement with a lovely guitar break. I like the little piano runs and fills, great songwriting and very much enjoyed.
First visit to your comment box, I have heard quite a few collabs you have done with other unsigned artists. Musicianship is right up there :) I bet this track gets better with the more listens I have, A lot of good things to take in, in one listen. Will grab a download an appreciate it when I have more free time, Peace,Ricky
Very well thought out lyrics with clever analogies. The same goes for the arrangement and I love the little electric guitar solo - not enough of those these days. Like the piano arpeggios and general background accompaniment too. Distinctive, appropriate and pleasing vocals also.
Came here on recommendation of DJC after hearing Bad Love Junkie. Glad I came here because this songs feels quite personal and I can somehow relate to it. I am guessing you write, play and sing everything. Serious skills :)
Hi Ray - thanks for the comment on "If You Knew Me". This was your master track so giving it a spin. Has a really big sound , the vocals clear and well defined with instrumentation that certainly catches the ear. It's obvious that a lot of thought has gone into the lyrics - some really nice imagery in the lines and phrases you have written. Cool lead guitar work too. James
creative lyrics !
I've been feeling Something immersive when I listening this track from the first seconds...very lush music...This is good but maybe vocals could be a bit better masterised there...I think you loose a bit of bandwith/dynamic the way you plugged vocals...Anyway the song is good and full inspiration, I don't understand all the vocals very well cause I'm french, I will go to the "lyrics" section...Keep on having good times with you stuff...I can feel trust into art there ! Be fine man !
Thanks for your comment on my track Elysius
Nice sound, interesting lyrics.
I enjoyed this track.
Good job Ray
Excellent song, lyrics and great production here Ray. Love it!!
Very original and captivating lyrics, and I particularly noticed the alliteration e.g "malevolent murmurs mumbled". Your vocal delivers the song well, David.
I love this song Ray. It's been stuck in my head for a while, so I just keep coming back to listen. I can really relate to this one.
I don't know how I missed this great piece!! The lyrics are so very acidic and icey but f3ckin true man!! Toxic relationships are like you say "Worse Than Any War"!! Like a scene from Macbeth, wicked lyrics!! You delivered those great vox in style mate!! I could hear many of my hero influences in here, some big names, but this is way better!!! A massive track Ray and I love it!!! Take care bud!!! Baz
Thanks to have visited my page dude !
We are really making a different music but I like music like yours...I mean I like your style and the fact you are making your stuff alive with a good production/record/mastering.
This track makes me feel well...I don't "hear" the lyrics well cause I'm french but I can read 'em on yours lyrics section...But anyway this is what I hear that count in this case...Your music makes me dream...Really beautful, give me a feel of being on this mental paradise that rare song are making me feel...There's magic in your music man ! Voted and downloaded this one ! What I like is "DREAMS" and your song is there for me ! Have a good time man ! I will favorite your page and listen more later...FOR SURE...I also like a lot "Lodato" 's music...He also makes tracks that make me fly but his style is different than yours.
Have a nice day man !
Such a great song in every way , so many people can relate to this. So Sad.
so many people end up this way i myself have been married twice ive been through a break up and your right it turns into a war this song speaks to me bringing back memories the power of music to take you back a great song
A very touching track. It's pretty sad how at almost every wedding the bride and groom think it's the beginning of eternal wedded bliss, yet so many marriages are doomed to failure almost before they even begin... The pictures this song paints are so vivid ("the restaurant scene" etc.), it really is amazing songwriting.
Superb from start to finish Ray. I echo all the comments here. This is an anthem mate. The vicals and guitars are really good, nice tone on the break. EWQL orchestration sounds cool. As Eric says a master of your craft.
Ray. You are a master at your craft. One of the very best lyricist I've had the pleasure to hear (read). I am never disappointed when I drop by your page. Another beauty!
Impressive all round Ray. Top Notch!!!
Had to come back by for a few more listens...by far my favorite of the two you posted this week, Ray. Not showing on the latest tracks makes it a bit of a dark horse...
This one slipped under our radar and is another great track with exceptional lyrics. You really are one hell of a singer/songwriter/musician...Bravo L&B
Those lyrics...oh man, how you've captured domestic conflict in this day and age. "Touch-screen moods", "bumper sticker philosophies" , "small print eyes"......Excellent! The music's a match for the words, I like the bit of delay on your vocals, great tone on that keyboard too. Nicely done, Ray.
This is the sort of lyric that's missing in all those ghastly modern club songs.....songs that mean something more than white noise for mindless drugged up zombies. You are my kind of songwriter and I can't praise you highly enough. Fabulous lyric/fantastic arrangement....and performance.
Nicely written + performed~ way to go, Ray! :)
These days I spend most of my time in my own home studio writing songs ... some good, some bad and some downright ugly. The halcyon days of touring & performing are long gone but still fresh in my memory and I was fortunate enough to work with some great artistes over the years. A lot of them didn't know a semi-quaver from a semi-trailer but good musicians nonetheless.
For my writing platform I use Cubase along with East West Quantum Leap sounds. I use an 'L' Series Stratocaster and a Maton acoustic guitar, along with a Yamaha P-85 keyboard and Lee Oscar blues harps.
