Against the grain were formed in mid 2003 in the town of Cahir co. Tipperary. Their first gig was in the Castle arms Cahir Friday 22nd Aug 2003. Against the grain recorded their first demo together 27th 28th Dec 2003 @B.P.M studios in Douglas, Cork. Within hours two songs were played on red fm 28th Dec 2003. The band consists of: Richie McCormick - Bass + Vocals John Browne – Guitar Martin(Marty) Browne – Drums Peadar Kennedy - Guitar [Note: John, Martin and Peadar have been playing music together for about three years or so and have had a few gigs with different members and under different names}
