Mostly electronic realizations of classical and original music.
La Valse (Ravel) (Classical)
Artist Comments Ravel completed this 'choreographic poem' in 1920, although it was many years in the making. This is the orchestral version. There is also a two piano version which he used to 'audition' the piece for Ballets Russes impresario Serge Diaghilev and his choreographer Leonide Massine. Also present were composers Igor Stravinsky and Francis Poulenc. The first orchestral performance took place on December 12, 1920. It was first used as ballet music by the Ida Rubinstein troupe in 1929. (File revised Dec 3/07).
