Richard Bethell has been singing and playing blues, R&B;, and gospel music in Ottawa and Montreal, Canada, for the last twenty years. He is a longtime member of Ottawa group Evolutions, and participates in the "Rock the Glebe" folk group every Sunday Night at Ottawa's Blessed Sacrament Church.
In the 1980s, Richard was a member of the popular local group called The SugarDaddys. After that, he founded another group called Evolutions, an original R&B; group in the Stax/sixties vein.
A multi-instrumentalist, Richard began recording solo music in a basement studio built for him as a birthday surprise by his wife, Kelly. Recording solo has led him down different paths from the Evolutions/SugarDaddys sound.
