Stygian was formed as a project combining elements from multiple genres of music in 2002. Stygian is a predominately ambient project, adding different elements from other genres as well. Stygian combines classical/baroque arrangements with traditional and classic ambient, creating a unique atmosphere and interesting soundscapes.
Stygian uses diverse synths and instruments and employs an array of different influences. From cellos to organs, pianos to water effects, Stygian is a dark, atmospheric ambient project that is sure to stimulate the listener's mind. Stygian draws upon a vast amount of different influences, from Mozart to Mortiis.
