Tea with the Behemoth are a 4 piece garage band from Cambridge. The Band formed in Autumn 2002, a fusion of an established guitarist/singer-songwriter partnership with a dynamic rhythm section. Over the following year they developed an original sound, described as "Freak Beat", combining elements of Sixties Garage, Rhythm and Blues and Psychedelia with the frenetic energy of British Punk circa 1977.
In Summer 2003 the band took up residence in the pop art collective project "The School" in Cambridge. Subsequent months were spent rehearsing and recording before making their live debut on a rooftop in Hoxton, London. In recent months the group have established a reputation as one of the most exciting live acts on the thriving Cambridge scene playing headline gigs at the APU and supporting the likes of Chikinki, the Boxer Rebellion and Mohair.
