Resonating with an aggressive, passionate, and heavy sound, Nomonic is a fresh breath to the Milwaukee, WI hard rock scene. Influence by countless musicians, their music sounds like a blend of Soundgarden, Full Devil Jacket, and Foo Fighter with their own personal flair added.
The groundwork for Nomonic was laid in the summer of 1995 when Chris, Dave, and Zack started jamming in their parents' basements while they were freshmen in high school. Four years later, Pat joined the band as a second guitarist. They adopted the name Dysrhythmia and went on to win the 2002, 106.5 Buzz Battle of the Bands in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The win compelled people to take notice of this rising act. Since then, they have opened for national recording artists Blindside, Less Than Jake, Memento, One Less Reason, and Flickerstick. They have also headlined at popular rock venues such as Hard Rock Cafe (Memphis, TN) and The Rave (Milwaukee, WI). They changed their name to Nomonic in February, 2004, due to confusion with another band named Dysrhythmia (Relapse). Also, Steve joined the line-up as a new drummer. They then headed into the studio to work with Chris Djuricic (Soil) and Trevor Sadler (Nine Inch Nails) to produce their first professional studio EP.
The band has matured musically and adopted a new name, but Nomonic’s chemistry and charisma remains the same. You can expect great new things from Nomonic in the future. This is one act you won’t want to miss.
