Enter the SGT Project. A collection of music with a nod back to earlier times, but encompassing the technology and the outlook of the twenty -first century.
Music crafted with skill and lovingly paying tribute to a musical past - shadows of a time of progression and creativity. There is a sense of boundaries being pushed - jazz meets rock meets acid meets metal meets blues and interacts with the chemistry of the three musicians involved.
This unique totally instrumental trip makes great rock music that has vitality and a feeling of new areas being explored - a freedom to experiment with any possibility.
But hey - let's not disappear up our own ....s completely - the bottom line is simply that these guys are exciting adventurous musicians and a great live act”.

Ged Kingsford
Percussionist Ged Kingsford began playing drums at the age of eleven. By the age of fifteen, he was playing in semi-professional bands. He first recorded a work solely for percussion, called 'Opening of Doors' at the age of nineteen. Since then, Ged has gone on to work with many musicians in both mainstream and experimental situations.
Ged was a founding member of the avant-garde rock band 'Metabolist'. The band attracted considerable attention from the music press and from luminaries such as Brian Eno, and the band 'Can'. They attained the position of number four in the European Rock Chart, compiled by Sounds Magazine, who called the band "One of the most interesting bands in Britain" at that time.

Tim Chapple
Tim Chapple has worked with a multitude of musicians, from Afro Rock / Jazz meisters Zambula to various combos and styles over the last twenty years alongside the odd radio and TV appearance. Founder of cornishmusic.com in 2002, designed to promote contemporary Cornish music and its musicians.

I bought two (signs of things to come!) - Ten years After - Undead, and Black Sabbath - Masters of Reality.
What musician (other than yourself) have you ever wanted to be?
I'm just happy to be me these days, but when I was younger my heroes were people like Bowie, Ian Hunter and Larry Wallis of the Pink Fairies, and of course bass players like Stanley Clarke and Chris Squire (Yes).
What do you sing in the shower?
Probably a bit of Max Romeo - “War inna Babylon”

Shane Bailey
Shane Bailey has worked extensively as a key member of many bands, and as a successful solo artist. The SGT project is based around Shane's undoubted talent as a guitarist, composer and musician. His production skills are very much to the fore in the band's current recorded work. Shane has worked with Jo Partridge (War of the Worlds), and has written songs with Andy Murray and Al Hodge (songwriters for Elkie Brooks and Meatloaf). He has performed at the legendary Covent Garden, London, and has taken part in recent “Song for Cornwall” competitions.
