The last three years have been one of creative exploration for me when it comes to music. I allowed myself to write according to my inspiration, and just follow my muse, ignoring commercial viability in the quest to discover my own musical voice.

This year I participated in the "February Album Writing Month" challenge, where you write 14 songs in 28 days. My goal was to write a mystical, magical, fantasy-based electronic folk album with dreamy, ethereal vocals and great harmonies. Sort of Enya crossed with Loreena McKennitt all mixed up with me :) I wrote & produced worktapes of 15 pieces of music in February. And I'm continuing with the 50-songs-in-90-days challenge.

What's next? ...work on growing a catalogue of music for film/tv projects and... maybe make the Fawm-inspired album :)

In her early years, Vikki sang in choirs; played flute, piccolo & trumpet in school bands; took up the guitar & wrote sweet folk songs. She studied voice with Luigi Wood, Gary Zeller & Catherine Lewis, her extensive stage credits include performin with the likes of Pacific Opera Victoria, Western Concert Opera, Vancouver Academy of Music, Theatre under the Stars, Theatrespace, Vancouver Musical Theatre, Victoria Operatic Society, Metro Theatre, & many more.

Vikki is the proud possessor of a fine 'little Martin' 6-string acoustic guitar from Mexico. Together they beam into various home town cafes, house concerts, open mikes and lounges, performing unplugged originals and classic folk, bluegrass & country songs from across the universe with singer John Spooner & singer/guitarist Larrein Trudeau, as the folk trio "Easy".

Her work has been featured on Free World Radio, Cygnus Radio, Radio Glendon, Angelic Music podcasts, and Len Amsterdam's various net radio shows. Last year she released an 6-track indie country/folk CD with co-writer Michael Kavanagh. Vikki also collaborates with Dean Taylor, Arie Boom, Matt Hirt, Ron Patton & Stephen Riveria & other musicians & composers around the globe.
