Ever since Kris Bell was four years old, music has touched his soul. It was then that he first learned what music was and the power it had. At seven, he was given a classical guitar for Christmas, and for the next five years, Kris learned to harness his talent and build on the potential which he possessed. He performed his first concert at age eight, began playing electric guitar at twelve, wrote his first song at fourteen, and since then has immersed himself in everything he could that had to do with the art of making music. At twenty, Kris joined the American Rock band FITH. It was with this band that he gained extensive experience in performing, recording, and touring.
In April 2005, Kris moved from his hometown of San Diego, CA, to Nashville, TN. Within one month of relocating, he was quickly hired as the Lead Guitarist for American Idol Star and RCA Recording Artist, Bo Bice. With Bo and his band Sugarmoney, Kris performed on numerous live television programs including Mtv’s TRL , Live with Regis & Kelly, and the VH1 Decades Rock Live concert with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Williams Jr., 3 Doors Down, and Bo Bice. He’s played over 180 shows all over the country, ranging from club gigs to amphitheaters with over 20,000 in attendance, recorded on the Dual Disc version of Bo’s debut album, and appeared in the music video for his first single “The Real Thing” which hit number one on MTV and VH1’s Top Twenty Countdown.
Currently Kris is busy working on pre-production tracks for an all acoustic album, as well as a highly anticipated full studio production due out later this year. With his southern, bluesy guitar style and warm, melodic vocals, Kris’ music is a unique blend of Modern and Southern Rock, Country, and Blues that captures a soulful realism, both powerful and addictive.
