Formed in the spring of 2003, we (Sian, Jimi, Rick, Ian and John) became regulars of the Manchester music scene playing regular slots at Night n Day and most other venues around Manchester. We have supported signed acts such as Earl. Our early demo CDs can be found in many Manchester homes protecting tables from unsightly tea/coffee/bovril rings. Our first offical release, a limited edition EP recorded at Courtyard Studios in Stockport, exceeded our expectations and sold well in HMV Manchester and Piccadilly Records. Hating to be pigeon holed, we have been compared to acts as diverse as My Bloody Valentine, The Pixies and Dido. This doesn't make things easy for us. 2005 should be a big year for Atwood as we play all our usual haunts, the upcoming venues in the UK and record our next EP.
