Angel aka Amanda Parkinson, started RedDress in 2006, purely to gain an audience for her music. She began writing songs from the age of 12, starting out on a simple Amiga program, and based them for computer games. She then moved onto Octamed Pro in 1989, and began creating her own old skool dance songs, then giving them away to family, friends and friends of friends, which made her music popular locally. Eventually she was given her first keyboard in 1995, a Yamaha DJX which she still uses to this day. She went on to purchasing the Yamaha DJX2 keyboard, and combining the two, set up her own little studio in 2006 using ejay as her software of choice. She quickly found out there was much better software out there to produce music with, and after taking the plunge and purchasing Fruity loops 6, her music then flourished.

In 2008 Angel found out she had cancer and although going into remission in November 2008, she was told the cancer had returned within just 3 months of remission and she continued to fight. Angel’s video of Sal....er Sexual [A mashup of chicane's Sal....er and Amber's Sexual] featured on the NME website, and it received many fantastic reviews, including over 95,000 views, which is no mean feat and proves her talents. If Angel was given copyright permission for this track, she would have become an overnight sensation for sure, as the online support for this track is immense. 'To have 100 hits was an achievement to me, but to have 77,000 is scary lol' said Angel before the hits rode to over 95,000.

Amanda Parkinson aka Angel aka RedDress sadly lost her battle with Cancer on 1st Jan 2010. Not only was Angel a gifted female producer she touched the hearts of everyone she met online. A warm, fun loving Lady and a Soldier, Angel never wanted sympathy.
