Smilex Smilex got together in 2002 on little more than a mutual love of Guns ‘N’ Roses, Batman and PVC. Since then they’ve been up and down the country playing riotous gigs with other rock and roll animals like The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Young Heart Attack, Jetplane Landing and Lapsus Linguae, earning themselves a fantastic reputation as one of the most out & out entertaining live bands in the underground (and becoming regular favourites at the Truck Records Festival, The Garage, The Bull and Gate and The Zodiac, Oxford). They’ve had comparisons as confusing and disparate as The Stooges, The Pixies, Jane’s Addiction and even Motley Crue(!!!) so we’ll leave you to make up your own mind but you really should check out their sado-masochistic stadium power rock peep show-coming soon to a town near you…
