Well here I am! I've been surrounded by music since my little heart can remember. My dad used to play me to sleep by playing songs on his guitar and singing. My entire family is a musical family. My mother played violin for 11 years! My great grandfather, my great uncle, and my grandfather are all music majors. Everyone plays something in our family. I tried the violin and the flute before really finding my calling with the guitar. Everyone says that I had so much help from my dad since he knew how to play and could help me. Well actually, truth be told, I got a chord book for my 13th birthday from my dad's friend, stole my dad's alvares and locked myself in my room. It took me a long time to actually put my lyrics to my guitar, a year to be exact. That doesn't mean I wasn't playing though. I played everyday! I mean everyday! I had only been playing for a few months when I played at my first open mic. going back and listening to the recording, I sucked! But at the moment, I didn't care; I walked into the bar, my 13 year old self, sat down and played. I got 100 people to shut up and listen by just saying hello.
I recently recorded my single 'Better Left Unsaid'. I will be returning to the studio in January to record more! |
