Lucius is based in South Wales, UK. It began late 2004 as a solo project but has expanded into a full band. Luke (Vox/Guitar/Samples) has been in various local bands over the years. His experience has led him to support SKINDRED and FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND amongst others!
He has also been the songwriter behind numerous number ones on internet radio stations, artist of the week on TOTAL ROCK, recorded for the RADIO 1 session in Wales, and appeared on BBC RADIO WALES.
Lukes also done small tours of the UK playing such venues as THE GARAGE, BARFLY, BORDERLINE, THE CAVERN, LIFE CAFE and JUNKION 7. With Lucius, he plans to emulate any past achievements with a more melodic sound and striped down band.
Onboard now are Stuart Moore (Drums) and Mike Gibson (Bass) who bring invaluable experience to the band. Stuart is a great all round musician with over 10 years of drumming for local bands. His technical know-how has already proven to be a great asset to Lucius. Mike also has years of experience playing in bands with members of Catatonia, and more recently in an original group that played in many of the well known venues in Cardiff and Newport. Mike also started off on the Welsh Language, performing regularly live on TV and Radio.
The tracks you can hear on our myspace page were recorded at Mighty Atom Studios, with producer Joe Gibb (Leftfield, Texas, Tom Jones, James Addiction, Madonna, Travis, Top Loader, Robbie Williams, The Kinks, Liberty 37, Million Dead's 'A song to Ruin', and Funeral for a Friend's land mark EP 'Between Order and Model').
