The Canyon (Blues)

Bluesy feel...a song of dreams and aspiration really. Used Strat on this...drums from manual percussion on keyboard, and m8 did a wee bass line.

Im Mick. Im a self taught guitar player from just outside Glasgow Scotland. I have been playin for 35 long weary yrs now. Benn in a few bands in that time....doin electric mainly. Times change, and now im heavily into writing my own material and performing on my treasured little Takamine acoustic. Influences are extremely varied...from Taylor, Dylan, Simon, and Young...to bluesmen such as john hurt, broonsy, cat stavens is cool...etc etc. Im tryin to write some stuff thatll sound melodic and be easily remembered other than easily forgotten! lol.....but as u all know its not that simple....but ill plod away at it anyhow.
All the songs on here have been written between the period of Jan06, till present....yip, im new at this too!!. It started only when a friend borrowed me his tascam digi thingy...and away i went...what ur hearing is the end result of a nutter who sits to 3/4am weekdays, in the corner of his living room, behind the sofa, with one little light on...crossed eyed!,in real need of a shower....but with something burning away inside which says i got to finish this song. Either that or it was the curry! Tracks are mainly acoustic takamineTan46C...thru mixer, into tascam. I dug out my Anniversary strat for a couple of tunes, which ill put up soon...been a while, but once i wire brushed all the rust off the strings, it came good. I have a Yamaha psr 8000 keyboard which for me, has such a beautiful percussion section, and all the drum sounds come out of this machine...and some twitchy fingers. My keyboard skills are very limited, but i just manage to keep a chord or 2 goin. Anyways...i hope u all appreciate the tunes, as i do urs....and if i dont get back to ur comments immediatly, im in the bath!...noooo!! lol...i will honest! cheers peeps mick
