BIOGRAPHY OF LEO-TAN
Leo-Tan has been singing and playing guitar since he was seven, playing for different events regularly. He first received recognition when he played for Sint-Maarten's day during his early years, which was very promising for a young man at that age. At age 11 Leo-Tan was singing and playing for Song festivals and many other events and occasions.
Later on he joined a choir and was singing first and second tenor and sometimes lead as the years went by. At age nineteen he won the bank song festival held in the Antillies, and continued winning several other competitions along the way. Shortly after he joined the G-force band and was playing for carnival and other events held in Sint-Maarten and other Caribbean islands.
In 1991 he came to Holland and was performing in several festivals and events, and began composing and writing his own songs.
Shortly after he began producing his own music, and was involved with many other projects, groups and acts singing here and playing there.
While doing these things he developed a style of singing and rapping which was outstanding compared to the rest. He has created a unique crossover music evolving from Reggae-Dancehall with R&B; flavour.
From 1991 untill now, Leo-Tan has been very active in composing and producing music, and has enough songs and music for a lifetime of listening pleasure and enjoyment.
Leo-Tan is a very serious, dedicated, creative, and devoted person. With such qualities I'm assured that it s just a matter of time that he will get his space among the music pioneers out there. In concluding, Leo-Tan has gain more confidence and determination in seeking the right path and people to work with. Leo-Tan believes that one day he will be one of the leading roll models in music and style, and thanks God for all the positive people he has met , and is going to meet, and the positive things he has received and still is receiving. |
