MagellanMusic has been around for a long time. We were starting to form about the time Richard Nixon had to quit his job (we never did find out if he applied for Unemployment), but finally recorded our first album in 1975. Since then we've pursued Ye Olde Musick Scaene in every way, amassed a very large catalog of albums, #30 coming very soon ("...to a theater near you!..."), still having as much fun now as we did when we were kids thinking we had the world by the tail.
MagellanMusic was born in the days of wide-eyed 'progressive rock' (not from mind pummeling pharmacuticals!). Those days are somewhat legendary in that record companies fully supported the bizarre explorations that simply do not exist today. Thanks to the fact that the Beatles (and many others) could create albums where their music could go in any direction was the best example of any 'progressive' artist. That's exactly how MagellanMusic feels. There's not one, single premise for the band - if it feels good, do it! We only hope that you enjoy it.
