Tourist are a five piece band who formed in 2003, at the University of Sheffield. Guitarists James and Paul met in Tapton halls of residence during their first year, whereas bass player and chief songwriter Matt joined the group through the Sheffield Sound Society, followed by drummer Alex and singer and guitarist Lucy. Their influences spanning the musical spectrum, each member contributes to making Tourist's songs both memorable and unique. With an ever growing repertoire, the band hope to spend much of 2004 playing gigs and building a solid fan base
