Jamil Purnell, better known as Young Aries* was born to Dereck and Catherine Purnell on March 29th in Brooklyn, New York. He began playing and taking piano lessons when he was 5 years old and continues even now. When he got older he developed a love and promising talkent in the relatively new music genre of HipHop and R&B.;

As he grew older, he began producing beats and tracks for others and realized one day that he "Had a way with words" as his grandmother told him. After this amazing realization, he began writing his own lyrics and words to songs that he created. Then in 2005, he established his own recording studio and lable known as Relentless Records and signs his own artists. Unfortunately, his grandmother Margaret Phillips passed on Thanksgiving day of 2005, and he is motivated everyday by her final words, "Dont ever let anyone put you down and if u believe in yourself, thats all you need." This motivates him every day to, as he says, make it happen. |
