Xanthe was formed in Poznań in a year 2000. Until now the band’s line-up is unchanged: Michał Urbaniak (vocals, keyboards, programming) and Piotr “Łysy” Śledziński (vocals, guitars, programming). From the beginning Xanthe is interested in dark and mystic atmosphere which is still most important in it’s compositions. It is hard to unequivocally classify band’s music – it’s generally black metal with some influences of doom (especially in lyrics) or even death metal. , Xanthe was formed in Poznań in a year 2000. Xanthe recorded three demos: “Plunged Into Mourning” (2002), “Nutrimentum Spiritus” (2003) and the new one “Erem” (2004/2005). The second demo has begun promotion of the band. Until now has been published a review in catalogue of Pagan Records and few zines are interested in interview.
