Whittington Still has the makings of a true legend! Music has been in her soul since the day she came into existence. She embraces the wisdom from some of the most artistcly ingenious creators. 'Still' has realized that not only is it possible to pursue her music but it's also more than likely that she will become the next legend in the business. Ever since her accidental meeting with Mr. Bunny Sigler of Philadelphia Internation Records, 'Still's" eyes have been focused more than ever before . Mr. Sigler met with 'Still' and often expressed his desires to work with her. Her style could be compared to that of the great Phyllis Hyman. However, 'Still' manages to maintain her unique identity.
While living in California, 'Still' composed a band and started performing in the bay area and in the Northern California area. Her shows were dynamic! You could have heard a pin drop as if no one wanted to miss one gracious note. Her versatile song list included but was not limited to artist such as : Phyllis Hyman, Toni Braxton, Brian McKnight and Rachelle Ferrell. Californians absolutely adore Whittington Still and they are not afraid to display their gratitude to her. One of her first appearances took place at the Sacramento Musicians Hall, in Sacramento, CA. She had agreed to perform at a CD release party for a Bay area jazz band. After her performance she was bombarded by fans requesting her autograph. As she explained her involvement with the jazz band as being just an invited entertainer for the party, they informed her that it didn't matter... 'Still's" autograph was still valued. After realizing Whittington Still was not on the CD being celebrated that evening, the fans started asking the Lead band member, Larry White, if the public could expect to hear her music as a part of their project in the near future. That inquiry was followed by the response of "soon". Very shortly after the CD release party, Greg Le Blanc & Ebony Blue invited Whittington Still to be the vocal unit within their jazz band. 'Still' has too many talents to count. But the love of her life is her music. There are certain establishments that Whittington Still frequents when in her home town. Those establishments make it a priority to play her single "Missing You" regularly. People love her for her inner beauty, her style and her ability to positively draw anyone at anytime into her space. Whittington Still is a person to be admired and will be for some time to come. She is now back on the East Coast and has been planning great things! Keep your eyes and ears open for the woman that has become a legend in her own time and then some. You'll love her forever.
