The Sway are an Indie/Mod/Rock ‘n’ Roll band hailing from the original Scottish Captial, Dunfermline. Young, fresh and exciting, they were formed in the summer of 2000. The idea for a band was conceived by the two front men McNab and Mills during a drink fuelled session one evening at ‘The Shed’. As the two sat pondering what to do with their lives, Albo turned to Jim and said “Ken what man, we should be in a band together” And the rest they say is history. Finn was drafted in to play bass and ‘Taylor’ was asked to play drums. ‘The quadro’ (The original name) was born. However, Taylors’ inability to sit and finish a song without getting up and wondering off ultimately led to his swift exit! Then was the arrival of Graham (Moon) Toole on drums. The resemblance to the late great keith was the greatest appeal of this drummer. A good friend of the band beforehand, moon brought a much needed stability to the band and from there the band begun to make waves. Four years of pub and club gigs passed and a strong following of acclaim was built. However, in July 2004 the decision was made that another change of personnel was required. Alas, the much loved Graham Toole left graciously and in his place comes Wayne Robertson. A drummer of many a band before, Wayne is here to kick start a slowing ship. From now on, there will be no lowering of the anchor.
